Searching for answers after a shooting

Recent search terms is still in it’s infancy but one of the most common criticisms faced so far has included the suggestion that communities distressed by gun murders are not online.

Yet, a glance at search terms bringing traffic to the site tells us that there are a lot of people looking for more information after almost every shooting in the news.

Though not included here, we also now find specific names include in the search terms, and then can usually spot loved ones by promptly entering the same names into a Twitter search with other relevant keywords.

As #GunCrisis develops, we will strive to apply these strategies to tell more personal stories of homicide by gunfire in Philadelphia.
