Interrupting Violence in Chicago and Philadelphia

In this video from the 2011 Dart Center workshop in Philadelphia “Getting it Right: Reporting on Youth Violence,” experienced violence interrupters talk about their experiences. Falacca and David Fattah talk about their experience with the House of Umoja, reducing gang violence in 1970s Philadelphia, with Gary Slutkin, co-founder of CeaseFire.

This panel followed a screening of “The Interrupters,” an award-winning documentary about Violence Interrupters who try to protect their Chicago communities from the violence they once employed.
