The man was killed after police say he engaged in a gun battle with two officers Wednesday night. Philly.com adds: Cops say the man pulled a revolver on the officers and fired several shots, prompting both officers to draw their own guns and return fire. All in all, according to cops, more than 30 shots were fired by both the suspect and police during the shootout.

CBS3 reports that police say they were called to the scene after receiving a report the suspect had threatened three people with a gun. 6ABC adds that authorities say the man then fired at police as he was driving north along E Street. According to NBC10: The suspect has not been identified. Police only say he’s a man in his 50’s.
