Toddler wounded by gunfire in Philadelphia, for the second night in a row

Two men and a two-year-old girl were wounded when shots were fired at a block party, in the Logan section of Philadelphia Saturday night.

Police say that the toddler was shot in the stomach, hospitalized in critical condition, and immediately rushed into surgery. A 22-year-old man was shot once in the leg and a 30-year-old man was shot in the hand.

Joe Kaczmarek photographed the scene on North 12th Street, where about 200 people had been celebrating Father’s Day weekend.

Police say an argument may have started over a parking spot, but have not identified a suspect or the victims.

On Friday night, a three-year-old girl was wounded by gunfire in the West Oak Lane section of the city.
