On Thursday, Morgan Zalot of the Philadelphia Daily News followed up on the story of a two-year-old girl who suffered a gunshot wound during a block party last month, and how nobody has come forward with any tips for the police, despite a $10,000 reward.

A 2-year-old girl took a bullet to her tiny stomach as she stood between parked cars. Three other people were struck. Dozens of witnesses scattered. Everyone clammed up.

The child was the second toddler wounded by gunfire that weekend, and two more have had close calls as bullets flew in recent days.

Here is our file report from the incident lat month: Two men and a two-year-old girl were wounded when shots were fired at a block party, in the Logan section of Philadelphia last month.

Police say that the toddler was shot in the stomach, hospitalized in critical condition, and immediately rushed into surgery. A 22-year-old man was shot once in the leg and a 30-year-old man was shot in the hand.

Joe Kaczmarek photographed the scene on North 12th Street, where about 200 people had been celebrating Father’s Day weekend.

Police say an argument may have started over a parking spot, but have not identified a suspect or the victims.
