The victim was shot on the bridge of his nose and the bullet exited through the back of his neck, according to sources.
Police used a patrol car to rush him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was listed in stable condition.
Sources say the man was conscious, alert, and talking.
Police found blood stains and a mobile phone at the scene but had not made any arrests.
