#GunCrisis Solution of the Day: Improved Academic, Career, and Technical Training in Juvenile Justice System

Successfully transitioning back into the community can be extremely difficult for delinquent youth. Many have experienced serious trauma and have incomplete educational histories. The Pennsylvania Academic and Career/Technical Training Alliance (PACTT) provides the education and vocational training that will enable youth to return and be productive members of society. The program operates both within residential facilities, and in transitional programs in the communities of Philadelphia that the young people go back home to.

In the video below, program director and Stoneleigh Fellow Candace Putter talks about the goals and methods of PACTT. Read more about the program here.
