On Saturday morning, GunCrisis.org compiled live reports and community reactions to the murder of Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker, Jr.

Photojournalist Joe Kaczmarek covered the investigation while Tom Kelly IV focused on the procession leaving the hospital where Walker died.

Yesterday, we noted that the slain police officer was among four lost this year in Philadelphia, and one of three people shot to death in a six-hour period in the city, and shared Kelly’s photos from the crime scene.

Last night, CBS3 reported from the scene where family and friends remembered Officer Walker at a candlelight vigil. Today, they are reporting that Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey has confirmed that Walker will get full police honors at his funeral.

Several more law enforcement officers have been killed or wounded by gunfire across the US in recent days. Two sheriff’s deputies were shot to death, and two more were wounded Thursday in Louisiana.

On Saturday, a police officer was shot by a bank robbery suspect in Anderson, Indiana. Last week, a police constable was killed and three other officers were wounded in an incident in College Station, Texas.
