Philadelphia Police release new video related to the murder of Officer Moses Walker, Jr.; provide updates on additional recent homicides

Philadelphia Police officials released new surveillance video at a press conference this morning, showing two men, seen above, that they are identifying as suspects in the weekend murder of Officer Moses Walker, Jr.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey introduces homicide unit Captain James Clark to discuss progress on several recent homicide cases, including the murder of Police Officer Moses Walker, Jr.

Newly recovered video shows the two suspects in the murder of Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker Jr. walking together approximately 5 minutes prior to the homicide in area of 19th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

On August 18, 2012, just before 6am, Police Officer Moses Walker Jr. was shot and killed. Officer Walker was walking in the 2000 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue where two males approached him. Officer Walker was shot several times and the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.

Suspect Description:
#1 — Black male, bald head possibly with a beard or goatee, wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt and dark colored shorts
#2 — Black male, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and dark colored shorts
