Mothers in Charge, a community advocacy and support organization for families affected by violence, is leading a peace walk this afternoon in remembrance of slain Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker, Jr., who was shot to death after leaving work early Saturday morning.

You are cordially invited to a Peace Walk hosted by Mothers In Charge Partnering with the faith based and community leaders. The purpose of this event is for the slain police officer, Moses Walker Jr whose mother is our dear friend and member of Mothers In Charge, and our concern is for the number of senseless violent deaths in our community. The Peace Walk will begin at Mothers In Charge Inc 1415 N Broad Street @ 5:30PM. We will walk the route of Officer Moses Walker Jr and end at 21st and Cecil B Moore with prayer and call for “Peace in Philly”
MIC is a non-profit family and community assistance organization providing support, advocacy and education on issues related to violence and its impact on the community. Many of the members have lost a loved one to violence, these women are impassioned mothers, grandmothers, aunts and sisters committed every day in working towards the goal of saving lives.
