In Pennsylvania’s capital, Harrisburg City Police are being joined on weekend patrols by officers from surrounding municipalities in a program funded by the Dauphin County district attorney’s office, according to pennlive.com:
More than patrols are involved. According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, prosecutions performed as a result of arrests made by the joint patrols will likely fall under tougher federal gun statutes instead of in county courts.
