In Shreveport, La., a group called One Voice organized a recent “Code Red” action meeting, to bring awareness to what they believe is a growing problem of senseless crime and death in the community.
According to ksla.com, a prayer service and community brain storming session were organized to “put an end to senseless violence among the youth in the community,” following a fight that took the life of a 20-year old.
“They hope to inspire and rally the community and offer solutions through education, quality of life and community and even business development.”
Just in the last few weeks in Shreveport, 22-year-old Noah Randle 22-year-old Duntavious Young were shot and killed in separate home invasions, according to bayoubuzz.com. Also, 20-year-old Jarod Farmer was beaten to death in downtown Shreveport.
