61-year-old man wounded during attempted robbery of West Philly barbershop

Police investigate a shooting inside a West Philadelphia barbershop Wednesday night. A 61-year-old man was reported in stable condition after he was shot in the abdomen and the ear during an attempted robbery of the barbershop he was visiting, police said. Shortly before 8 p.m., two armed men entered Eddie’s barbershop at 60th Street and Race Street and announced the robbery to the two elderly men inside. One of the victims picked up a lamp and chased the robbers, who then fired twice as they fled, wounding the man with the lamp, police said. GunCrisis.org photographs by Joseph Kaczmarek
