Mapped: Camden, NJ, violence keeps pace to break city homicide record

No shooting victims have been reported in Philadelphia since early Saturday morning, but one person died after a double shooting just across the Delaware River in Camden, NJ, early Sunday morning, according to 6ABC.

That brings the total number of people killed in Camden this year to 54, according to NBC10. The city of 77,000 is close to breaking a record set back in 1995 when 58 people were murdered.

Two weeks ago in Camden, a young man and woman were killed, and three teenage girls were wounded in one incident when a gunman opened fire on their car.

This recently-updated map of 2011 and 2012 homicide victims was attached to a previous report at courierpostonline.com, which also mapped Camden homicide victims from 2007 through 2010.
