Three double shootings reported overnight in Philadelphia


One man is dead, one is in critical condition and another is wounded after police heard and responded to gunshots in the area of 53rd Street and Parkside Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. A 19-year-old babysitter was killed by a stray bullet on the next block Tuesday night, close to the spot where another man was critically wounded by gunfire two nights earlier.

A 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man were both reported in stable condition after they were shot on the 2000 block of Dennie Street around 1 a.m. Sunday. Another man was shot to death on the same block Friday night and another was wounded on the next block in September.

A 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were both reported in critical condition after a double shooting on the 5000 block of Germantown Avenue Saturday night.
