Shooting victim remembered as gunfire continues to take lives

A man who identified himself as a member of the Somerset Crew, from the Kensington section of Philadelphia, displays a memorial tee shirt to photojournalist Joseph Kaczmarek of the GunCrisis Reporting Project while at the scene of a shooting incident that left a woman wounded and a shooting suspect dead last week on Braddock Street, in the nearby Harrowgate section of the city.

Kaczmarek had previously met members of the Somerset Crew when they invited him to take photos, seen at left and below, while they were mourning the man depicted on the shirt, after he was shot and killed 300 block of East Somerset on September 1st.

Last week, they also showed Kaczmarek that they were keeping his previous photos of the previous memorials on their phones, after downloading them from either GunCrisis.org or his own photojournalism site.

At the GunCrisis Reporting Project, we have noted six more shooting victims since September 1st along Somerset Street alone and many more on surrounding blocks.
