Four people wounded by gunfire over four hours Tuesday night in Philadelphia

A 33-year-old man was reported in critical condition after he was shot multiple times in the area of 1900 Wingohocking Street in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the victim was wounded in a hail of at least 40 bullets.

Altogether, four people, including a little girl, were wounded in separate incidents over less than four hours Tuesday night.

At about 9:20 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the neck on the 1900 block of Sigel Street in South Philadelphia. He was listed in stable condition at Methodist Hospital.

A 22-year-old man survived a shooting Tuesday night on the 6500 block of Upland Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, where shot at about 7:30 p.m.

Finally, a five-year-old girl accidentally shot herself in the foot at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, inside a home in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, after finding a gun.
