Gunfire kills three across Philadelphia in the first few hours of 2013

Police say the man was killed after a bar fight spilled out on a street, according to 6ABC, and ended inside a nearby home.

The first homicide of 2013 came when a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed on the 5600 block of Carpenter Street in Southwest Philadelphia around 12:30 a.m. Police said that the shooting followed an argument at a house party, according to the Associated Press.

Police say they took two men into custody a few blocks away and they were both armed with guns, according to 6ABC, adding that they also found a gun in the yard near the shooting scene.

A 23-year-old man was shot to death in a home on the 1700 block of West Venango Street in the Tioga section of Philadelphia around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Following the same incident, a 22-year-old man was reported in critical condition at Temple University Hospital after her was shot multiple times and another 22-year-old was in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the foot. A 21-year-old woman who jumped from a second-floor window was also hospitalized.
