The victim was identified as Joseph Canazaro, 48, according to philly.com.
Officials said two survivors — a woman and a 12-year-old boy who had been bound by the invaders — fled the home and called authorities from a neighbor’s home, according to thereporteronline.com.
Police believe the residents were intentionally targeted and are seeking two men – a 5’9″ Hispanic man and a smaller Asian man – who police have labeled “armed and dangerous,” according to phillyburbs.com, adding that officials said the suspects took multiple weapons from the home.
The men then fled in Canazaro’s 2007 black Lincoln pickup truck, which police say was later discovered at the Friendly’s restaurant located in Quakertown, according to nbcphiladelphia.com.
Police believe the suspects were in the house for several hours before the woman and child were able to free themselves and run to a neighbors home for help, according to philadelphia.cbslocal.com. They suffered minor injuries during the incident.
FBI, ATF and other federal law enforcement authorities are also assisting in the investigation, according to abclocal.go.com.
