You won’t catch us celebrating at Gun Crisis News before we can point to a marked reduction in Philadelphia gun violence, but attention is currency in digital media, and we believe that every round of publicity that follows our independent, solutions-oriented news organization also creates a broadened opportunity to more clearly define the challenge facing our city and enhance the discussion of possible solutions.

In the past, our efforts have been featured on CNN and by many local news organizations.

This week, a British team from ITN News has been working with the Gun Crisis Reporting Project, as well as with Philadelphia Police, a local hospital emergency room and a public heath violence intervention program. We will share their report when available.

In advance of the their visit, we discussed the scope of efforts, people and organizations working to reduce violence in Philadelphia. Last night, they took to the streets with us, and they may come out again tonight.
