Gunshots pierced the windows of a SEPTA bus carrying 11 passengers and a driver early Monday morning in West Philadelphia. Tom Kelly IV photographed the scene for the Gun Crisis Reporting Project.
A nearby car was also struck during the incident, which took place as the Route G bus was travelling north on 56th Street from Market Street at about 12:30 a.m.
Medics treated a passenger who was struck with flying glass at the scene, but nobody required hospital treatment, according to philly.com.
According to 6ABC, officials don’t believe the bus was the intended target. Police say the gunman fled and remains at large, according to NBC10.
