Stray bullets graze child Monday in Olney and tear through North Philadelphia home overnight


A 12-year-old boy was treated at Einstein Medical Center after he was grazed on the stomach by a possible bullet fragment after a shooting on the 900 block of West Duncannon Avenue in Olney Monday afternoon. A 20-year-old man was reported in stable condition after he was shot in the leg during the same incident.

According to philly.com, police said they have no description on the shooter, and the case remains under investigation.

Police rushed a man to Temple University Hospital after they found him on with multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of Marshall and Venango Streets this morning at about 2 a.m.

Officials say that a 46-year-old victim was shot six times in the face and body, according to NBC10, adding that gunfire ripped through a nearby home, narrowly missing a grandmother and four-year-old child who were sleeping inside.

In an earlier incident, a 28-year-old man was shot in the hand on the 6100 block of Greene Street in Germantown Monday afternoon, and reported in stable condition at Einstein.
