Good Friday vigil planned to call for action to end gun violence

Heeding God’s Call, a faith-based movement to prevent gun violence, has announced a Good Friday Vigil in Philadelphia, on March 29th, 2013.

Participants will gather at 4 p.m. at St. Paul’s Baptist Church at 1000 Wallace Street, at the corner of 10th Street. They will proceed to Benjamin Franklin High School at 550 North Broad Street, which is one block north of Spring Garden Street.

The ecumenical service will include prayer and music, a remembrance of gun violence victims, and a call to end gun violence, particularly for the well-being of children.
