According to CBS3 police received a 911 call reporting gunshots in the area shortly after 11:30 p.m. The victim, who police believe is in his 20’s, was found shot numerous times in the back and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Police also say they found numerous bullet casings around the corner on East Estaugh Street, where they believe the shooting took place. According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the man had no identification on him; so, they are still working on identifying him. Investigators are also hoping that surveillance cameras on numerous businesses in the area might have caught something they can use in their investigation, as reported by 6ABC and NBC10.
