Collaborators from the Gun Crisis Reporting Project will participate in Sandy Hook and Beyond: Breaking News, Trauma and Aftermath,” a symposium convening Monday at the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma at the Columbia Journalism School in New York City.

Jim MacMillan will join a panel scheduled for 3:15 p.m., on “Going Deeper: Covering Perpetrators, Guns and Community Trauma.” Tara Murtha will be live-blogging the day’s events for the Dart Center.

Both MacMillan and Murtha are Dart Center Ochberg Fellows, graduates of a program for senior and mid-career journalists who want to deepen their knowledge of emotional trauma and psychological injury, and improve reporting on violence, conflict and tragedy.
