Police grab suspect after witnessing fatal double shooting in Kensington

Amber Street Fatal Double ShootingAccording to police, officers were driving on Cambria Street when they saw a man on a bicycle ride up to a Cadillac and fire five shots at the occupants, killing the driver and wounding a passenger.

Police said that the shooter dropped his bike and fled but was captured following brief foot pursuit. They recovered a .38 caliber revolver that they say was discarded during the chase.

The victims crashed into a minivan after they were shot.

Police said that the officers who witnessed the shooting were in a marked car and in uniform right behind the suspect when he opened fire, according to philly.com.

ABC 6 later reported that police said two men were taken into custody. CBS3 reported that the 28-year-old passenger was shot in the shoulder.
