Home invasion robbery leads to homicide Sunday in Montgomery County

DSC_7031aKareem Ali Borowy was abducted at gunpoint by a group men armed with handguns from a home in the 1200 block of Manatawny Street in West Pottsgrove, just after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, according to a press release from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office.

Police have not released details on how Borowy died or if they have a motive for the home invasion homicide. Police did say that when the men entered the home they demanded money from the residents. Investigators later said that Borowy was targeted in this robbery.DSC_6974a

DSC_7027aBorowy’s body was found by a passing vehicle on Sanatoga Station Road, just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to the Pottstown Mercury, the gunmen allegedly demanded money before taking Borowy.  NBC10 reported that an older woman lived in the home with three or four adopted children.
