Final update: 18 shooting victims reported across Philadelphia over holiday weekend


Seventeen men and one woman were wounded in Philadelphia shooting incidents tracked by the Gun Crisis Reporting Project over the holiday weekend, based on original reporting, media reports, police and other sources. Five of the victims were initially reported in critical condition at area hospitals.

  • A 19-year-old woman was reported in stable condition after she was shot early Saturday morning on I Street near East Tioga Street in the Harrowgate section of Philadelphia.
  • Police rushed a 49-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the stomach, following a shooting incident shorty after noon Saturday in the area of West Clearfield and North Sheridan Streets in the Fairhill section of the city.
  • A 26-year-old man was reported in stable condition at Temple after he was shot at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the area of 20th and Berks Streets in North Philadelphia.
  • Police rushed a 19-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition after he was shot four times on North Myrtlewood Street near West Huntingdon Street at about 10:15 Saturday night in the Strawberry Mansion section of North Philadelphia.
  • At about 2 a.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man was shot twice on the 6100 block of Vine Street in West Philadelphia and rushed by medics to the University of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was reported in stable condition.
  • A 20-year-old man was reported in stable condition after he was shot in the abdomen inside a home on North 55th Street near Arch Street in West Philadelphia shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday.
  • Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a 29-year-old man arrived at Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition with two gunshot wounds, following an incident in the area of North 23rd and West Cambria Streets in the Swampoodle section of North Philadelphia.
  • Medics rushed a 22-year-old man to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was reported stable after he was shot in the leg in the area of North 18th and West Oxford Streets in North Philadelphia shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday
  • A 51-year-old man was shot in the face inside a home on North 12th Street near West Louden Street shortly before midnight Sunday.
  • Just before midnight Sunday, a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg in the area of 50th Street and Girard Avenue in the Parkside section of West Philadelphia. The victim was reported in stable condition at Hahnemann.
  • Medics rushed an 18-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after he was shot in the area of Oakland and Sellers Streets at about 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Frankford section of the city.
  • A 30-year-old man was reported stable at Temple after he was grazed by gunfire during a robbery on the 300 block of East Cambria Street in Kensington at about 4:15 Monday afternoon.
  • A 52-year-old man was reported in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after he was shot in the area of Lancaster Avenue and Wyalusing Street in the Mill Creek section of West Philadelphia at about 5:45 p.m. Monday.
  • According to NBC10, an unidentified person was shot in the area of York and Lawrence Streets in North Philadelphia shortly before 5 p.m. Monday.
  • A 26-year-old man was reported in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after he was shot multiple times at about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the area of 40th and Poplar Streets in West Philadelphia.
  • Two men were shot near the intersection of Perkiomen and Wylie Streets in Francisville Monday night. Both victims were reported in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital. 6ABC reported that, according to police, one man was struck in the arm and the second man suffered a graze wound to head.
  • Medics rushed a 25-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition after he was shot multiple times in West William Street, near 12th and Cambria Streets in North Philadelphia at about 3 a.m. Tuesday. The victim was able to walk to a nearby fire station where he was treated by medics and then taken to Temple University Hospital, according to 6ABC.
