Teen murdered Friday night in Frankford

Arrott Street HomicideAccording to police, they received a call for gunshots at the intersection around 9:40 p.m. and found the victim lying on the sidewalk.

A medical examiner looked through the victim’s bag, which appeared to contain school books.

A large crowd of neighbors gathered around the perimeter of the crime scene as police collected evidence around the victim’s body.

Police said the victim appeared to be very young and estimated that he was between 15 and 19 years old, according to the Philadelphia Daily NewsCBS3 is reporting that there have been no arrests.

Eight more people — including three more teens and two women — were wounded in overnight shooting incidents reported across the city.
