Woman and teen among five shooting victims reported Wednesday

W. Wellens Street Double ShootingAccording to police, a 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were each wounded twice by a gunman at around 10:45 p.m. and taken to Einstein Medical Center in a private automobile.

A man who lived on the street said that a shooting took place on his front steps last year. 6ABC reported that both victims were listed in stable condition.

Earlier Wednesday, police rushed a wounded man to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after he was shot multiple times on Belmar Street near 57th Street in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia. Philly.com reported that the victim was in critical condition.

A 16-year-old was shot in the leg in the area of Dallas Road and Andrews Avenue in West Oak Lane at about 10 p.m. He was also reported in stable condition. Medics rushed a 23-year-old woman to Temple University Hospital after she was shot on the 3500 block of North 18th Street in the Tioga section of the city around midnight.
