Man killed, child wounded in Philadelphia shooting incidents overnight

Hill Creek HomicideNeighbors watch as police officers gather on North Hill Creek Drive in the Crescentville section of Philadelphia after a 32-year-old man was fatally shot just after 11 p.m. Friday night. According to police, patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the Hill Creek housing development and found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head. In a separate incident, a 14-year-old boy was shot in the stomach in the area of 26th and Moore Streets in South Philadelphia Friday night. He was reported in stable condition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
