According to police, the 25-year-old victim was outside his home at about 1:30 a.m. when two men approached and announced a robbery. Police said that the man handed over his cell phone but that the gunmen still opened fire, striking the victim six times.
Responding officers rushed the victim to Einstein Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. NBC10 reported that the wounded man had just stepped outside to smoke a cigarette.
