Shooter kills man in East Germantown

Germantown Avenue & E. Wister Street HomicideOfficers from the 14th District responded to a radio call for a shooting around 12:15 a.m. and located the wounded 45-year-old man lying on the sidewalk on East Wister Street near Germantown Avenue, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead on location, police said. A steady stream of friends and relatives of the victim gathered around the scene and watched closely as investigators collected evidence around the man’s body.

Investigators said the victim was shot four times in the back, according to myfoxphilly.com. NBC10 has a video report.
