Weekend update: Five new shooting victims reported Saturday and overnight

Four men and a 16-year-old boy were shot in separate incidents Saturday and overnight in Philadelphia. Two of the victims were reported in critical condition.

As we previously reported, one man was shot to death and five more were wounded, three of them critically, in separate incidents reported from late Friday morning into the early hours of Saturday morning in Philadelphia.

The 16-year-old was reported in stable condition after he was struck in the leg when shots were fired into a home on Oakmont Street, near Torresdale Avenue in the Holmesburg section of the city at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police rushed a 23-year-old man to Temple University, where he was reported in critical but stable condition after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in a shooting incident reported at about 9:20 p.m. in the area of North Bucknell Street and West Montgomery Avenue, not far from 24th Street in North Philadelphia.

A 29-year-old man was reported in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital after he was shot in the leg at about 9:40 p.m. inside a building on Judson Way, near 23rd and Jefferson Streets in North Philadelphia.

Medics rushed a wounded man to Jefferson University Hospital after he was shot inside a building on North 10th Street near Cherry Street in Chinatown shortly before midnight. The victim was reported in critical condition with a head wound.

Early Sunday morning, a 39-year-old man was rushed by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition after he was shot multiple times in the area of North Marston and West Montgomery Street, near North 28th Street in North Philadelphia.

Several more shooting victims have been reported across the region: A 32-year-old man was shot and killed while sitting in a truck in Camden, NJ, Saturday afternoon, according to courierpostonline.com6ABC reported that the victim, a man from Blackwood, NJ, was shot multiple times. Four people have been murdered in Camden so far in September, according to NJ.com.

NJ.com also reported that a man and a woman were shot and killed in Newark, NJ, Saturday afternoon.

Police are investigating a shooting incident which left two men wounded in Wilmington, De., Saturday afternoon, according to 6ABC. Police in Milton, De., are seeking a man they say robbed an acquaintance at gunpoint Friday evening, according to delawareonline.com.

Federal court records show that the northeast Pennsylvania man accused of threatening to kill President Obama had two weapons, one of which was a loaded AR-15, as well as 11,000 rounds of ammunition, a long-range scope and training manuals on long-range shooting, according to a report at thetimes-tribune.com.
