The homicide took place just one block away from the scene of a $300,000 armored car robbery that was reported by local media Thursday morning.
According to police, officers responded to reports of this shooting at about 2:30 a.m. and found the man lying on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead on the scene by medics, police said.
The victim was shot twice, in the head and shoulder, according to a report from 6ABC. CBS3 reported that the he appeared to be in his 20s. Police told FOX29 that two spent bullet shells were found nearby.
