Shooting victim found dead near scene of earlier armored car robbery

Rhawn Street HomicideThe homicide took place just one block away from the scene of a $300,000 armored car robbery that was reported by local media Thursday morning.

According to police, officers responded to reports of this shooting at about 2:30 a.m. and found the man lying on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead on the scene by medics, police said.

The victim was shot twice, in the head and shoulder, according to a report from 6ABCCBS3 reported that the he appeared to be in his 20s. Police told FOX29 that two spent bullet shells were found nearby.

    • This so sad. I knew him only by nick name. He was my sons coach. He coached the 65lbs at holmesburg. I know he was recently married, my heart goes out to his wife and family. I’m just so sad right now. My son drove him crazy smh lol. Life is just wAy too short.
