Shooters wound two men Wednesday night in Philadelphia; more incidents reported across the region

Grovers Avenue ShootingResponding officers rushed the victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was listed in stable condition with an arm wound.

Medics rushed another man to HUP, where he was reported stable with a foot wound following an incident inside a home Wednesday night on South 55th Street near Christian Street in West Philadelphia.

According to reports from 6ABC, one man was critically wounded in a shooting in Camden, NJ, Wednesday night, and two more men were wounded in a shooting in Camden early Thursday morning. A stray bullet killed a woman early Wednesday in York, Pa., according to YDR.com

As we reported Wednesday, two men were shot, one fatally, Tuesday night in the Harrowgate section of Philadelphia. Police have identified the deceased victim as Eugenio Hernandez, 24, of Castor, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. A dozen shooting victims were reported last weekend in Philadelphia.

The fate of a man charged with killing three teens in Philadelphia in 2012 is now in the hands of the jury, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Police have announced two arrests in connection with a recent string of armed robberies in the Queen Village section of the city, according to a report from CBS3, and The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that police have arrested a suspect in connection with a string of robberies in Delaware County, Pa.

An armored car company has posted a $25,000 reward in hopes of capturing the gunman responsible for a robbery last week in the Holmesburg section of the city, according to Fox29. The Philly Police blog has released surveillance photos in hopes of identifying a serial bank robber in West Philadelphia. Fox29 also has a video report on a takeover bank robbery that took place Monday just outside Philadelphia, in Bala Cynwyd.

Authorities in Reading, Pa., say that they will not be releasing the surveillance footage in the case of a citizen who shot and killed two alleged armed robbers earlier this week, according to a report from NBC10.

In national news, reports from Detroit indicate that up to ten people were wounded, two fatally, in mass shooting at a barber shop Wednesday night.
