Five men were shot in separate incidents reported across Philadelphia Monday and overnight, extending a weekend outbreak that left one man dead and four wounded Friday night, one person shot near Temple University early Sunday and and six men shot in the span of six hours Sunday night.
In Parkside, patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire and found a 25-year-old man in an alleyway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. They rushed him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Investigators marked numerous pieces of ballistic evidence on the sidewalk and in the alley while neighbors watched.

Next, an 18-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting incident at about 5:30 p.m. Monday on Norwood Street near Church Lane and North 21st Street in East Germantown. The victim, who was shot in the left side of his face, was taken by private automobile to Einstein Medical Center, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Philadelphia Daily News reported that the gunman fired at least seven shots during a robbery, according to police.
Medics rushed a 26-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with back and arm wounds following an incident shortly before 7 p.m. on West Sergeant Street, near North 12 and West Cumberland Streets in the Hartranft section of North Philadelphia. At least eight shell casings littered the sidewalk, according to the Daily News. 6ABC has a video report.
Two men in their 20s were listed in stable condition with gunshot wounds at Delaware County Memorial Hospital after they were shot during in a robbery at about 4:30 Tuesday morning, reported to have taken place in the area of Greenway Avenue and 61st Street in Southwest Philadelphia. NBC10 and Fox29 have video reports on the investigation.
