Three shooting victims reported west of the Schuylkill; one man is dead

Walton Street HomicideThe victim had suffered multiple head and chest wounds in the incident, which was reported shortly after midnight.

According to a report from 6ABC, the victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania but was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 34-year-old man was reported in critical condition at HUP after he was shot multiple times shortly after 11 p.m. Friday on Mantua Avenue near 42nd Street in the Belmont section of West Philadelphia. And a 24-year-old man was listed in stable condition with a foot wound at HUP following an attempted robbery at about 3 p.m. Friday in the area of Reinhard and 53rd Streets, near Kingessing Avenue in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia.

Police are also investigating fatal shootings in Camden and Lindenwold, NJ, according to reports from 6ABC. Check our next update for a complete local, regional and national gun violence reports.
