Dozens of gunmen sought after recent armed robberies in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department blog has posted more than two dozen surveillance videos of suspects wanted in connection with armed robberies since we checked in last month. One suspect was armed with an AK-47:

According to Philadelphia Police: On December 14, 2013, at 4:54 pm, two unknown males entered the 59th Street Mini Market located at 2101 North 59th Street in Wynnefield. Once inside one of the suspects who was armed with an AK-47 type rifle with the stock removed was pointing it at an employee demanding money.

According to Philadelphia Police: On November 8, 2013, at 6:50 pm, an unknown male wearing a scarf covering the lower part of his face entered Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 9201 Roosevelt Boulevard in Pennypack armed with a handgun pointing it at the employees demanding money.

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects who robbed Carmen’s Grocery store in Upper Kensington.
The incident occurred on December 11, 2013, at 9:50 pm, when two unknown males, one who was armed with a handgun, entered Carmen’s Grocery store located at 767 East Allegheny Avenue. Once inside the store suspect #1 held one of the employees at gunpoint while the second suspect when behind the counter and approached a second employee demanding money.

As always, police advise:

  • If you see these suspects do not approach them, contact 911 immediately.
