According to police, patrol officers found the 29-year-old victim shortly before 7 p.m. on the sidewalk on North Myrtlewood Street near West Sedgley Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
They rushed him to Hahnemann University Hospital, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gun violence left two men dead and three more criticality wounded from Wednesday evening through Thursday morning in Philadelphia. Check in later for additional reports.
