According to investigators, police officers responded to 911 calls for a shooting just after 8 p.m. and found a man lying between two parked cars. The victim had suffered multiple head and back wounds and was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
Update: Police have now identified him as LeBron Gray, 21, of Ornes Street near Rockland, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

In a separate incident just a few minutes earlier, a 25-year-old man was shot in the foot — on Cambridge Street near 10th Street in North Philadelphia — and was rushed my medics to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
