Philadelphia Police officers from the 25th District’s narcotics unit display two handguns which they say they recovered when they converged on a North Philadelphia block following an undercover surveillance operation Thursday night. Several people were handcuffed at the scene on the 1200 block of Seltzer Street, where police said they had received numerous reports of gunfire and drug activity in recent weeks. Police said that they recovered drugs as well as the weapons.
Updates: Two men were shot in unrelated incidents Thursday, in East Germantown and West Philadelphia. At the Gun Crisis Reporting Project, we have counted 37 shooting victims this month in Philadelphia, including 13 fatalities.
