Two men were listed in stable condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after they wounded Saturday afternoon in a shooting on Theodore Street in Southwest Philadelphia. Philly.com has a brief report.

An off-duty police officer shot a man during a fight Saturday in Northeast Philadelphia, according to NBC10. A SEPTA bus was struck by a rock and not a bullet as originally reported Saturday night, according to an update from NBC10.

Local media have posted updates on the accidental shooting that killed a woman Friday in Montgomery County, Pa., the search for a shooting suspect in central Pennsylvania and the multiple-victim shooting in Trenton, NJ, which we first reported yesterday.

In national news this weekend, three people were shot to death at a bar in Ohio, six people were shot after a party in Chicago and a San Francisco Police officer was shot and wounded while investigating a vandalism report.

Police responded to a call for shots fired at a movie theater at a mall Saturday night in Maryland, according to a Facebook post from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, which determined that there was no gunfire but “further investigation revealed that someone set off possible fireworks inside of a juice bottle.”

The Gun Crisis Reporting Project is an award-winning, independent, nonprofit journalism community striving to illuminate the epidemic of homicide by gunfire in Philadelphia — and to find solutions.
