Criminologist David Kennedy speaks at Cost of Violence Conference

Criminologist David Kennedy keynoted the second morning of the Cost of Violence National Conference, organized by Mothers in Charge last week in Philadelphia. Kennedy is the architect of the “focused deterrence” program, attributed with an estimated 50 percent reduction in gun violence last year in South Philadelphia.
