Six wounded in latest Philadelphia shootings

Four men, one teenage boy and one woman are among the victims of five shooting incidents reported across Philadelphia from Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning. The most recent information is posted at the top of the updates below.

Police look for evidence at the scene of a double shooting left a man and a woman wounded early Friday morning on Lancaster Avenue, near North Paxon and North 51st Streets in the Parkside section of West Philadelphia. According to police, officers responded to the scene shortly after 4 a.m. and found a 25-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her left arm and a 36-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and left arm. Police rushed both victims to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where the woman was listed in stable condition and the man was reported in critical condition, investigators said. Police rushed a 41-year-old man to Einstein Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition after he was shot several times around 11:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Baynton and East Pastorius Streets in East Germantown.

Police rushed a 16-year-old to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Friday afternoon after he was shot in the thigh around 2:20 p.m. in the area of North Dover and West Huntington Streets, near 29th Street in North Philadelphia.

  1. The only thing I can say is we the people got to fall down on our knees and pray for this generation only thing right now is prayer because the more guns they take off the street the more come right back.
