Daily Report: 06.23.14 — Gunfire leaves two dead and three wounded

The report for Monday has concluded. Gun violence casualties were reported in Germantown, Mayfair, North Philadelphia, South Philadelphia and West Oak Lane.

Fatal shooting in West Philadelphia:

Police rushed a 29-year-old man to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after he was shot twice around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on Market Street at Salford Street, near 60th Street in West Philadelphia.

Man killed in Mayfair:

A 47-year-old man was shot and killed just after 5 p.m. Monday inside a business on Frankford Avenue in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia. According to media reports, officials said the dead man was a suspect in a robbery.

Medics rushed a 52-year-old man to Einstein Medical Center, where he ws listed in stable condition after he was shot in both legs around 3 p.m. Monday on Clapier Street, near Germantown Avenue and Logan Street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

Police rushed a wounded man to Einstein Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition after a police-involved shooting incident Monday afternoon in the area of North 19th Street and Plymouth Avenue in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.
