Breaking: Shooting victim critical:

A 40-year-old man was listed in critical condition at Temple University Hospital after he was shot in the chest early Friday afternoon at Gratz and Wingohocking Streets.

Man dead, second wounded in Fairhill

Police rushed two men to Temple University Hospital after they were shot just after midnight Friday on North Waterloo Street, near West Cambria Street, between Front and 2nd Streets in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia.

One of the victims, a 26-year-old man with chest and abdominal wounds, was later pronounced dead. The second victim, a 21-year-old man, was listed in critical condition with a chest wound.

According to police, officers found the wounded men after responding to a 911 call. Investigators said they found 10 fired shell cases and two projectiles close to the victims.
