Man killed in West Philadelphia

Police rushed a 40-year-old shooting victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, but he did not survive after he was shot in the chest around 3:40 a.m. on Filbert Street near 58th and Market Streets in West Philadelphia.

A 23-year-old woman was listed in stable condition at the Aria Health Frankford Campus with arm and leg wounds after a shooting reported around 1:15 a.m. at Torresdale Avenue and East Wakeling Street in the East Frankford section of Philadelphia.

A 47-year-old man was pronounced dead at Einstein Medical Center after he was shot late Saturday night on West Spencer Street near Wister Street in the East Germantown section of Philadelphia.
