Two men wounded in separate Kensington shootings

Medics rushed a 23-year-old man to the Episcopal Campus of Temple University Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition after he was shot around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on East Madison Street near Kensington Avenue in the Kensington section of the city.

Another 23-year-old man walked in the same hospital with a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon, reporting that he was struck around 1 p.m. in the area of Rorer and East Westmoreland Streets in Kensington.

Man wounded in Strawberry Mansion

Just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night a man was shot and wounded in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia. The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital and placed in stable condition with gunshot wounds to each of his legs. The shooting took place on Ridge Avenue outside the New Diamond Chinese-American Food takeout restaurant where investigators found two projectiles and two fired shell casings.

Parkside shooting victim in critical condition

Police gather on West Thompson Street near 49th Street in the Parkside section of Philadelphia on Tuesday, after a man was critically wounded by gunfire. According to investigators officers on patrol heard gunshots coming from the block at 10 p.m. and arrived to find a 41-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the face and chest. They rushed the man to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was listed in critical condition.

Home invasion
Armed robbers broke into a home early Wednesday in Francisville. Two suspects threatened residents with a gun during the incident but were taken into custody by police. The victims were not injured.
