Teen wounded in West Philadelphia Sunday afternoon

According to police, at 1:30 p.m. a 17-year-old boy was shot twice in his right leg and once in his back near 60th Street and Larchwood Avenue in West Philadelphia. Medics transported the teen to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania but his condition is unknown at this time.

Two women wounded by gunfire in Tioga

At 11:54 p.m. on Saturday police responded to North Smedley Street near West Ontario Street in the Tioga section where they found a 21-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg and a 17-year old girl with a graze wound to her stomach. According to police the victim shot in the leg was transported to Temple University Hospital where she was placed in stable condition and the victim with the graze wound refused medical treatment.

Two men critically wounded in Kensington

Two men were critically wounded by gunfire shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Rutledge Street near East Indiana Avenue in Kensington. Police said responding officers rushed the victims to Temple University Hospital where the victims are listed in extremely critical condition.

Fatal shooting in Hawthorne section of South Philadelphia

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday night, police responded to reports of a shooting on Catharine Street near Juniper Street in the Hawthorne section of South Philadelphia. When they arrived, they found a 30-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his chest. Officers rushed the man to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m., police said. Investigators said 32 pieces of ballistic evidence from two different caliber handguns were found at the scene.

3-year-old girl killed in Grays Ferry, three adults injured

A 3-year-old girl died after being shot in Philadelphia Friday, August 1. The child was sitting on the porch of a nearby porch when gunfire erupted on S. Etting Street in the Grays Ferry neighborhood, according to reports. Two men and one woman were also shot; all are in critical condition, according to police.

Multiple people shot in Grays Ferry, including young child

Four people were shot and injured in Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia tonight, including a young child. Police on are on the scene now at 1500 block of S. Etting Street.

Police fatally shoot robbery suspect

In the early hours of August 1, police responded to a call from a woman claiming a home invasion robbery was taking place in her house on Wakeling Street near Castor Avenue in the Northwood section of Philadelphia. When officers entered the home, the suspect allegedly fired three shots at an officer who returned fire, striking the man several times, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Shooting inside North Philadelphia apartment wounds one

At 12:54 a.m, a 43-year-old man was shot once in the left side of his torso inside a third floor apartment on Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philadelphia. He was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital by medics, where he was placed in stable condition.

Cops: One dead, two injuried in ‘execution style’ shooting

Investigators on the scene said three males in a maroon sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus, drove up to their victims and opened fire in an “execution style” attack.

Three young men shot in Nicetown

At 9:20 p.m., three young men were shot on N. Hicks St. in Nicetown. A 25-year-old man was shot once, and killed. Two 21-year-old men were shot multiple times each. Both survivors are currently in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

Officers wound man who pointed gun at them, police said

A police officer searching the area for a suspect in a shooting that took place earlier this afternoon on Page Street fired his weapon and wounded a man who alledgedly pointed a handgun at the officer, police said.

North Philadelphia shooting victim in critical condition

A 25-year-old man was shot once in his chest at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday night and was rushed to Temple University Hospital by police where he was listed in critical condition. According to police, a man who said he was at the shooting scene crashed his car into a wall at 25th Street near N. College Avenue in the Fairmount section.

Philadelphia went a rare 24.5 hours without a shooting. Then at 9:38 p.m., a 25-year-old was shot on North Carlisle Street, near Diamond St. in North Philadelphia. Police transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he was placed in critical condition.

Gunfire wounds one in Mill Creek

At 9:20 p.m. officers responded to Reno Street near 50th Street where they found a 22-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds to his upper light leg. Police rushed the victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he placed in stable condition.

Teen wounded in Ogontz

Shortly before 8 p.m. a 16-year-old boy was brought to Albert Einstein Medical Center suffering from two gunshot wounds in his arm and a single gunshot to his stomach. He was placed critical condition. Meanwhile, police attempted to find the actual location of the shooting in the rear of a home on Stenton Avenue in Ogontz.

Update: Two men arrested for fatal gunpoint carjacking

On Friday, two men followed a woman to her car, forced her inside, and sexually assaulted her before taking off and crashing into a family, killing three children and critically injuring their mother. Today, police announced the arrest of two suspects charged with three counts murder, carjacking and sexual assault.

Five people shot, one killed in Feltonville shooting spree

Shortly after midnight, five people were shot, one fatally, at a scene on North Front Street near Rockland Street in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia. According to Philly.com, the shooting took place both inside and outside a home. Among the injured are two teenage girls, a 22-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman. The man killed was 20 years old.

Man wounded on West Berks Street

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot. The shooting took place on West Berks Street, near 28th Street in North Philadelphia. According to police, the victim was brought to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Investigators located several fired shell casings and a bicycle at the scene.

5-year-old shot & killed, woman injured in Delaware County

A man allegedly entered a home in Ridley Township last night, where he allegedly shot and kiled a 5-year-old boy. A woman, also shot, was taken to Chester Crozer Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition. The suspect fled the scene, then shot himself, according to media reports. Just before 2 a.m. last night, a 19-year-old woman was shot once. The shooting was at West Susquehanna Avenue near 2nd Street in North Philadelphia. The victim was transported by a private car to Temple University Hospital, where she was placed in stable condition.

Shortly before 2 a.m., a 34-year-old man was shot once in the face and once in the leg on Valley Street near Pratt Street in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, according to police. The victim was brought to Aria Health Systems Frankford Campus, where he was placed in critical condition.

Philadelphia Police are asking for the public’s help following carjacking

From the Philadelphia Police Department’s Facebook page:

WE ARE SEEKING THE PUBLIC’S HELP in regards to a deadly carjacking/hit and run that took place today at 11:22 AM at the intersection of ALLEGHENY and GERMANTOWN Aves. An adult female was carjacked by a ONE HISPANIC MALE and ONE BLACK MALE while inside of her WHITE TOYOTA 4Runner SUV at the 2500 block of NORTH 6TH STREET.

The offenders drove the vehicle into the intersection of ALLEGHENY AVE and GERMANTOWN AVE striking a crowd of pedestrians. At this time, two juveniles have been pronounced, and there are several other victims in critical condition at area hospitals.

The OFFENDERS fled the scene of the impact on foot. At this time, there is a REWARD OF $40,000 – $20,000 for each victim – for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
